Original "Storm Foot Over Galway" FRAMED
13” x 16”
(Painting alone is 8” x 10”)
Oil on Canvas Panel, Plein Air
As part of my artist residency with Watershed Studios in Galway, Ireland, I energetically completed this painting in one plein air session as a storm was rushing in. The glowing effect caused by the setting sun's light cast on the rapidly rising moist air particles in this developing cumulonimbus cloud resulted in an inspiring visual. I sought to capture this common yet fleeting moment in a quick painting. This was the last painting I completed during my time there.
